Presently, I hold three university degrees- all from the University
of Toronto. Following my undergraduate and graduate studies
in Social Sciences (B.A. '93, M.A.'94), I spent several years
working in a downtown Toronto business law office, an experience
which continues to inform aspects of my program to this day.
Following upon this direct experience of the business world
and culture, I next attended the University of Toronto's elite
Ontario Institute for Studies In Education, receiving my Bachelor
of Education degree (formal teaching license) in Social Sciences
and E.S.L. in the spring of 1998.
From there
I spent several months evaluating future E.S.L. teachers as
an instructor and T.E.S.L. evaluator at a Toronto language school,
before joining the Toronto District School Board in autumn 1998
as a high school teacher of E.S.L./Social Science (Business,
Economics etc.). |
Through this
long and focused process, I have succeeded in combining the
most significant necessary linguistic elements of office life
with the practical background in E.S.L. education theory and
methodology so necessary to creating successful speakers of
International Business English.
I very
much look forward to sharing my philosophy, skills and knowledge
with you in the near future, as you strive to become a better,
more versatile, and ultimately of course, more "employable"
speaker of Business English.
Sincerely,
Edward
